Sharon Holeman Photography is comprised of the husband-wife team of Sharon & David Holeman Jr.

Trained on the mission field, Sharon has a strong background in graphic design and fine art. A love of the arts from childhood, she pursued business and creative endeavors, never dreaming that photography would one day be her profession. But in the months following hurricane Katrina, Sharon found herself on the mission fields of Baton Rouge serving the community of families occupying the FEMA trailers. As a recently born-again Christian, she took a camera to document the experience but soon found herself being asked to be the photographer for the monthly outreaches. A love for photography – and the joy it brought others – ensued. Her passion had been discovered and she immediately began to pursue her newfound purpose.

Dave had been at the outreaches too. A musician who had recently re-dedicated his life to Christ, Dave played bass with the worship band and following each event would help Sharon create slide-shows with the images. He purchased a camera for her that Christmas and by the time Sharon had finished shooting her first wedding Dave was assisting hands-on with posing and gear selection. His technical mind brings a precision to the business and a consistent secondary creative perspective.

What started out as a passion for Sharon, soon turned into a family business as her husband Dave, joined the ranks, and together, they are a dynamic team whose giftings create the perfect balance of professionalism, creativity, quality and fun. Their ability to put clients at ease, translates to relaxed sessions with real emotions and images that will have you smiling, both before the camera is clicked and after.
